CPR  for Healthcare Providers

Healthcare Provider (HCP)

This course is aimed at those working in the Healthcare setting as a nurse or other practitioner. This is a Bord Altranais recognised course.

Certified: Irish Heart Foundation & American Heart Association (valid for 2 years)
Course Duration: 6 Hours or contact us about our blended learning course. Complete the theory section at home and attend for the practical section 1.5-2 hours approx.
 

Course content

• Recognition of cardiac arrest
• CPR Adult, child, and infant
• Use of Defibrillator
• Use of BVM and Oxygen
• Recognition and treatment of choking adult, child, and infant

CFR - Advanced

This course is aimed at medical practitioners or those with substantial experience in pre-hospital care. This course builds on the CFR-Community course. 
CPD points apply to this course.

Certified: Irish Heart Foundation & Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (valid for 2 years)
Course Duration: 6-7 Hours.
 

Course content

• Recognition of cardiac arrest
• CPR Adult, child, and infant
• Use of Defibrillator
• Use of BVM and Oxygen
• Recognition and treatment of choking adult, child, and infant

• Recognition and treatment of Heart Attack including the administration of Aspirin.
• Recognition and treatment of stroke.
• Use of Oxygen for cardiac chest pain.
• Use of non-inflatable supraglottic airway.

• Nursing – 5 points
• GP – 6 points
